THE LAND OF TARA

Buddhist ecology for peace and the environment

The word "Khadiravana" means "acacia forest", the sacred mandala and forest abode traditionally associated with Arya Tara Bodhisattva. The Khadiravana mandala in Hua Hin was established as a place for silent retreat, for cultivating environmental awareness, and for reconnecting body and mind with the healing power of nature.

Across more than 80 rai surrounded by green hills, the mandala is arranged so visitors can study original scriptures, practise Tibetan yoga and train in meditation in simple natural huts, restoring the mind to its original awareness with steadiness and calm.
